Welcome to the Dunham Family.  Dr. Jason Dunham is joining First Baptist Church as Pastor on September 17, 2026. 

He leads with a shepherd's heart, a deep love for God's Word, and a passion for
strengthening the local church. His ministry is characterized by clear, Christ-centered
preaching, intentional discipleship, and a commitment to cultivating unity within the body
of Christ. With a warm pastoral presence and steady leadership, Dr. Dunham aims to
help believers grow in spiritual maturity, mission, and everyday faithfulness.

Before entering full-time ministry, Dr. Dunham served faithfully in the United States
Marine Corps, retiring in 2013 after 20 years of honorable service. His military background continues to shape his approach to leadership, discipline, and service—qualities that strengthen his pastoral ministry and his commitment to
shepherding God's people with integrity.

Dr. Dunham enjoys BBQing and grilling, and he is known for his enthusiasm for all
things Christmas. He has been married to his wife, Melinda (Lindy) Dunham, for over 28
years. Together they have two daughters, Savannah and Sadie, who currently are attending Liberty University.


Above all, Dr. Dunham is dedicated to helping individuals and congregations thrive
through biblical leadership, Spirit-empowered unity, and a renewed dependence on
God's transformative power.
